BlackRock’s Weekly Investment Commentary

Ongoing concerns about credit issues, recession fears and uncertainty over the future of the U.S. auto industry culminated in yet another difficult week for equities.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 5.0% to close the week at 8,497, the S&P 500 Index declined 6.2% to 873 and the Nasdaq Composite fell 7.9% to 1,517. With these declines, the Dow is now down about 35% for the year, and the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq have been pushed to more than 40% declines.  Please click here to read a copy of the entire report from BlackRock.
