Congress' Financial Service Reform conference committee recently approved the final text of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The 2,315-page bill impacts nearly every part of the financial industry. Asset managers and their clients remained principally outside of the focus of sweeping financial reform. However, given the length and scope of the bill, it should be expected that various
changes will affect the industry over the long term.
