Historically, investors have looked to senior loans as a hedge against rising interest rates. Even under current conditions in which such a hedge woud appear unnecessary, senior loan investments retain their appeal due to high absolute and risk-adjusted yields, collateral backing and priority in the capital structure, and potential diversification benefits.
