PIMCO: Why Inflation is Poised to Decline in 2012

Mihir Worah and Nicholas Johnson, portfolio managers with PIMCO, recently outlined their firm's expectation for lower inflation in 2012. Absent a severe disruption in crude oil supplies or chaos in Europe, they expect inflation to moderate to lightly below 2% on a year-over-year basis.  Long-term, however, they believe that inflationary pressures are building.  Click here for their outlook.
