Helping a Foundation Divide Their Portfolio to Meet Different Objectives
A client had a single investment portfolio but multiple investment objectives. We outlined the characteristics of their current portfolio and recommended they partition the funds into a 2-5 year conservative portfolio and a 5-10 year more growth oriented portfolio, which will help them achieve their goals of funding a portion of the operating budget and also include a growth component.
Through the process, the client was interested in keeping a large portion of the fixed income positions and maintaining a similar yield on the portfolio. We sourced a fixed income manager that was able to integrate the securities into their portfolio at a much reduced fee.
