Innovest is pleased to highlight the accomplishments, service efforts, and thought leadership demonstrated by our team in the second quarter of 2026. Our commitment to stewardship, excellence, and community involvement continues to drive meaningful impact across the firm and beyond.

New Team Members

We are excited to welcome several new colleagues who bring fresh expertise, energy, and dedication to our mission. Please help us welcome, Deana Berg, Mary Katherine Copeland, Joseph Esserman, John Henry Fleischer, Cristy Ginn, Katherine Mendoza, Brayden Miracle, Zachary Pitman, and Isabella Smith. Driven by continued growth and strong business momentum, Innovest has welcomed 16 new team members since the beginning of the year, with two more joining the firm soon. This strategic investment in exceptional talent reflects the increasing demand for our services, enhances our ability to deliver an exceptional client experience, and positions Innovest for continued growth and long-term success.

This summer, we are also pleased to welcome interns Ceca Bixenman, Ethan Lehman, and Shae McDaniel, while also welcoming back Diego Baez, who previously spent four years with Innovest as an Arrupe High School intern. We are excited to invest in the next generation of professionals through meaningful, hands-on experience.

Service to Others

Giving back remains a cornerstone of Innovest's culture. We proudly recognized Colin Donovan, Christine Furhman, and Trevor Kirking with the Service to Others Monthly Award for their outstanding dedication to helping colleagues and the broader community.

Our team continued to make a positive impact in the community by supporting the Junior Achievement USA Dream Accelerator, helping inspire the next generation of business leaders, and volunteering at the historic Central City Opera House, where employees planted vibrant flowers to help create a beautiful and welcoming setting for guests throughout the summer season.

Innovest Events and Industry Engagement

As part of our commitment to thought leadership, Innovest hosted educational webinars and events throughout the second quarter, equipping clients and industry professionals with timely insights and practical strategies on today's most important investment and fiduciary topics.

Principal Troy Jenson and Vice President Tomas Jansson presented “7 Common Mistakes Employers Make with 401(k) Plans”; and Principal Sloan Smith and Shaan Mehta, Principal at StepStone Group discussed today’s venture capital environment and how AI is reshaping the investment landscape in the private equity space during Innovest’s quarterly webinar series, Conversations with Asset Managers.

As part of Innovest's Quarterly Faith-Aligned Webinar Series, we partnered with 1792 Exchange to explore how organizations can evaluate vendor relationships for alignment with Biblical values and religious freedom.

Principal Sloan Smith was also featured on This is the Day Show on the CatholicTV Network. Sloan discussed how investing is not only a financial decision, but also a moral one.

Innovest partnered with Amaze Health and Public Safety Financial/Galloway to host AZ FOCUS in Scottsdale, Arizona, providing fiduciaries, and benefit plan sponsors with practical education on compliance, governance, and industry trends. As part of the conference, President Wendy Dominguez, served as a panelist for "Fiduciary Breach Litigation in Retirement and Benefit Plans: Lessons Learned in the Courtroom."

Innovest proudly hosted the third Christian Institutional Investors Conference (CIIC) at Colorado Christian University, bringing together Christian leaders and investment decision-makers from across the country to explore faith-aligned investing and Biblical stewardship.

Sarah Newman and Rich Todd presented "Economic Update & Avoiding Unethical Investing" at the Christian Leadership Alliance Outcomes Conference, providing attendees with timely market insights and practical strategies for aligning investment decisions with Christian values.

Sarah Newman, Principal, and Greg Ring, CEO & Co-Founder of Philanthropy Architects, presented "Philanthropic Trends and Updates on Catholic Values Investing Every Investment Committee and Board Should Know," sharing insights on balance sheet philanthropy, and the Five Pillars of a Catholic Portfolio to help faith-based organizations strengthen their stewardship.

Sloan Smith presented an Economic Update for nonprofits at the 2026 Colorado Society of CPAs (COCPA) Not-for-Profit Conference.

Innovest partnered with the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) to host a private reception featuring the Honorable Chuck DeVore, former California State Assemblyman and Chief National Initiatives Officer at TPPF. The evening brought together clients, community leaders, and guests for thoughtful conversation on public policy, free enterprise, and leadership.

Wendy Dominguez served as a panelist at the Sovereign's Capital Faith & Institutional Investment Summit, where she discussed values alignment and fiduciary stewardship with leaders from across the faith-based investment community.
