Nonprofit Spotlight: ACE Scholarships
At Innovest, we take pride in supporting the missions of our clients. This quarter, we are excited to spotlight ACE Scholarships, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting educational freedom nationwide. ACE provides partial, privately funded, tax-credit scholarships to lower-income K-12 students.
ACE believes that America is facing an educational crisis, as global rankings for U.S. students have fallen to 28th in math and 12th in science. The 2024 “Nation’s Report Card” also revealed that only 31% of 4th grade public school students are proficient in reading. When children don’t learn to read, they struggle to learn in other subjects, leading to academic failure. Unfortunately, lower-income families often lack the resources to place their children in better-performing schools. To address this issue, ACE Scholarships was founded in 2000.
ACE Scholarships bridge the gap between needs and means, providing students with access to quality education that fuels upward social mobility, self-sufficiency, and sustained success. After awarding more than 100,000 scholarships over the past 25 years, ACE has the data and success stories to prove its effectiveness.
ACE is passionate about its transformative work because it believes that changing education changes everything—from crime and the economy to healthcare, human services, and national security. With ten consecutive years of a perfect 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, ACE Scholarships has demonstrated operational efficiency and excellence.
