Kristy LeGrande, MBA, CFA

Principal

Kristy is a principal at Innovest and a member of the Investment Committee, which drives the firm’s investment related research and due diligence.  Kristy is also a member of the Capital Markets Research Group, responsible for monitoring the global macro-economic environment, asset allocation modeling and portfolio construction. She serves as a consultant working primarily with high-net-worth families and foundations.

Prior to joining Innovest, Kristy was a managing director at Cambridge Associates where she advised private clients (including both discretionary and nondiscretionary mandates), foundations, independent schools and hospitals with assets ranging from $20 million to more than $2 billion. Kristy constructed customized portfolios, manager structures and investment policy guidelines based on client objectives, time horizons, risk tolerances and spending.  She also advised on governance and spending policies.

Previously, Kristy spent several years as a corporate finance associate in investment banking, both at Bank of America Securities in San Francisco and Chase Securities in New York City.  She had various responsibilities pertaining to capital structure analyses, mergers and acquisitions, private and public securities offerings, and the execution of high yield bond offerings.  Kristy also worked in marketing and investment operations at an institutional investment management firm. Kristy grew up in Colorado, graduated cum laude from Harvard University and holds an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.  She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.  While at Harvard, Kristy played NCAA Division 1 soccer for four years and attended a study abroad program in Ireland.

Kristy is a community volunteer and is a former voting member of the Rock Canyon High School Accountability Committee. Kristy and her husband, Craig, have been married for more than 20 years and have three daughters.  Kristy enjoys spending her free time attending her daughters’ sporting events and learning how to play golf.
