Research
Research is central to Innovest's investment consulting process. Our research team supports asset allocation studies, investment manager evaluations, portfolio analysis, and ongoing investment monitoring. Internal research is supplemented with information obtained from external research providers, asset managers, and other industry sources.
Time-Tested Research Process
Deep Research Team
Innovest maintains a dedicated research team responsible for evaluating traditional and alternative investments, conducting manager due diligence, monitoring existing investments, and supporting client portfolios. Research responsibilities include manager analysis, benchmarking, reporting, and investment committee support.
Experienced Investment Committee
Investment recommendations are reviewed through regular meetings of the Investment Committee, Due Diligence Team, and Capital Markets Team. These groups review investment managers, portfolio developments, and market conditions as part of the firm's research process.
Sophisticated Asset Allocation Studies
Research supports the development of capital market assumptions, asset allocation studies, portfolio analyses, and investment structure evaluations. These analyses are conducted within the context of each client's objectives, constraints, and investment policies.
Thorough Manager Due Diligence
Investment managers are evaluated through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. Reviews may include organizational assessments, investment process analysis, operational due diligence, performance evaluation, and meetings with investment and operational personnel.
Access to Top Alt Managers
Our research team evaluates private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, and other alternative investment strategies. Due diligence includes meetings with investment managers and reviews of investment, operational, and organizational considerations.
Direct Manager Engagement
Innovest conducts more than 300 in-person meetings annually with investment managers as part of its research and due diligence activities. The firm also conducts on-site due diligence visits and maintains ongoing dialogue with managers under evaluation or monitoring.
“Research is not an event. It is an ongoing process of evaluating, monitoring, and revisiting investment decisions.”
