Wyck Brown, CFA
Vice President
Wyck is a Vice President and Consultant at Innovest, bringing over two decades of expertise in capital markets, spanning buy-side investment management, sell-side investment banking, and leadership in alternative investments. Wyck is a consultant working primarily with institutions and families and is also a member of the Innovest Investment Committee and Capital Markets Committee.
Prior to joining Innovest, Wyck was a Managing Director at Castle Placement, where he led capital raises for early-stage companies. He also served as Senior Vice President and Director of Investment Strategy at ALPS Advisors, overseeing actively managed alternative mutual funds. Earlier in his career, Wyck co-founded and managed a long/short credit hedge fund at Braddock Financial, growing it from $1.5 million to $510 million in net AUM, earning Bloomberg’s Fixed Income Hedge Fund of the Year in 2005 and second place in 2006. His career began managing large institutional bond portfolios at ING Investment Management and Great-West Life, where he honed his skills in portfolio management, trading, deal structuring and valuation. Wyck has also held leadership roles in four FinTech startups, co-founding two, with two successful exits.
A Denver native, Wyck holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business and a BS in Information Systems from the University of Colorado Boulder. He is a CFA charter holder and has completed HarvardX’s FinTech course. Deeply engaged in the Denver Catholic community, Wyck serves as President of Legatus Denver (2025), a member of the Archdiocese of Denver Investment Committee, and on his local parish council. He is also a former president of the Lakewood Country Club board (2016). Wyck and his wife, DeeDee, are active in their parish and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren in Colorado. Passionate about faith, family, and community, Wyck also enjoys golf, skiing, and cheering for Colorado sports teams.
