Nonprofit Spotlight: The Navigator

The Navigators is a global Christian discipleship ministry built on a simple but powerful belief: faith grows through authentic relationships. Founded in 1933, the organization exists to help people know Christ, grow in their faith, and help others do the same. What began with founder Dawson Trotman mentoring a small group of young people, has grown into an international ministry serving communities around the world.

At the heart of The Navigators is its Life-to-Life® discipleship model, which focuses on walking alongside people through prayer, Bible study, mentorship, and everyday conversations about faith. As the organization explains, “We believe discipleship happens person-by-person,” a philosophy that continues to guide its work 90 years after its founding.

Today, The Navigators reach people where they live, work, learn, and serve, from college campuses and military bases to workplaces, churches, and neighborhoods. Its ministries engage individuals across more than 100 countries, helping them build stronger foundations in their faith while equipping them to invest in the lives of others.
